Lock Or Encrypt Folders With PenyuLocker (Windows)
By: Karan Goel | 18th June 2010
Today we will be looking at a tiny application that will allow you to not only encrypt certain folders on your Windows system but it will also change the icon of the folder or folders you encrypt to a recycle bin.
To access the folder, you will have to reopen the application, and enter the password. Pretty cool. Let’s have a look.
First, download the app from here (854KB only), and install it.

When you start the application you will see a simple interface that will allow you to lock or unlock folders at will.

Simply navigate to the folder you want to lock and click the big lock button at the bottom. Then after clicking on the lock button, I am prompted for a password like so:

Type in a password that you will remember. The harder the password the better the encryption – but, if you forget your password, you are screwed!
On encryption, the folder turns into a recycle bin and files cannot be opened.

Now, to unlock the approach has to be the same, except for, of course, you have to select Unlock.
Do you have another tool that does this easily?
