Secure Your PC With An Integrated Firewall And Antivirus

Many people don’t feel completely secured with Window’s default Firewall. This despite the fact that Windows Firewall has improved with Windows XP SP 2 and then further improved with the two-way firewall capability in Windows 7 and Vista. Thus, there has been a demand for third-party security applications – and a free one is even better.
The free ZoneAlarm is sufficient for some. But, others prefer am integrated firewall and antivirus solution such as the free Comodo Internet Security 3.1.

comodo internet security

You get a more advanced interface to manage your computer’s security than the basic one provided by the built-in firewall. It is compatible with Windows XP and Vista. Their website does not try to convince you to buy the Pro version, but the Free version would meet the requirements of most people. Be sure that you should not install more than one antivirus on one computer, sice this causes increased conflicts and decreased system stability and security. Even if you want to do so, disable the other one. The antivirus that comes with CIS provides all the features you’d expect, including quarantining infected files and scheduling virus scans.

Overall, CIS is quite user-friendly, providing for quick and easy installations and configuration of the application settings.
